Millie studied and completed the art foundation courses at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. She accomplished this at the age of fifty by taking a sabbatical from her business career.
After returning to the business world and with her family raised, she found herself facing retirement. She decided to attend Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario and graduated from the Fine Arts Program in 2012.
Today she continues her art education under the guidance of Sybil Rampen, an accomplished and well known Oakville
artist. With Sybil as her mentor, she explores the medium of watercolour print making and all its complexities.
Besides her studio work she likes to paint directly from nature. She is often seen setting up her easel near water or near
a stand of trees. Often times her landscapes feature a well-defined path, which she interprets as her way of
finding her path in life through her art.
